As a John L. Scott broker, my mission is transactional excellence and client satisfaction. That means I work tirelessly to make your home buying or selling process as efficient, stress-free and lucrative for you as possible.

Meet Lou
I had early “on the job” training in real estate and quickly became an expert in relocation as a corporate wife who was transferred throughout the U.S. With our four children in tow, my husband and I lived on the East Coast, in the Midwest and eventually settled on the West Coast. Without the internet as a tool I had to rely on my intuition, research and people skills to thoroughly vet each community we moved to so that I could always send my kids to the top schools, ensure a timely commute and overall enjoy the best amenities of each place we lived. I still bring that intuition and knowledge to each client I work with, to help them find that perfect home.
In 1977, my family settled on Mercer Island and I started my career in real estate a year later. I started out at a small brokerage, but as my career started to take off, I joined John L. Scott and I’ve been here ever since!
At the start of my career I was reliant on several new construction projects on the Eastside, which provided me with an opportunity to work with a variety of home buildersand construction workers in the Bellevue, Issaquah, Sammamish Plateau areas and Mercer Island. I was the original site broker for The Lakes on Mercer Island, a community that has stood the test of time.
In 1991, I teamed up with my daughter, Lori, to form The Lou and Lori Team. For more than 25 years, we’ve enjoyed a great partnership and worked with clients varying from first-time homebuyers to retirees. We help clients buy and sell everything from new construction to waterfront estates. In 2018, we welcomed my grandson Connor as part of our team. I absolutely love my job and I hope that my excitement and energy is something that is contagious for our clients!
Mercer Island
In the southern waters of beautiful Lake Washington sits Mercer Island. Those of us lucky enough to live here enjoy the easy access to Seattle and Bellevue and all the food and culture and shopping they offer as well as the natural beauty that surrounds us. Mercer Island is considered by many to be the premier residential community to live in in Seattle Metro area. Many Mercer Island homeowners have use of either Mount Rainier to the south, Bellevue in the cascades to the east, or Seattle and the gorgeous Olympic mountains to the west. Many of our parks take advantage of these views as well as the waters of Lake Washington. We've got boating, fishing, swimming in the summer—you name it. Families choose to live on Mercer Island so they can send their kids to our top notch schools. Mercer Island High School is well regarded throughout the Pacific Northwest for the number of its graduates who are accepted to top universities. Residents who don't have school aged children still benefit from this reputation because it keeps their property values at a good level. I love Mercer Island because, while Seattle and Bellevue are close, the island has a community feel all its own. It’s like a world away. If you'd like to learn more about Mercer island, let us know. We'd love to show you around and help you find your perfect home.
Reviews
“We have used Lou and Lori for all of real estate transactions. They were able to help us find our first home in a neighborhood that worked for us and would allow us to move up when it came to selling. They worked very hard with us on our second home, finding the right neighborhood again for all of our needs. They have given us advice over the years regarding improvements which would help us when it came time to sell. They have always been available and approachable with good sound advice.”

“After being in our home 47 years, and the only home we had ever owned, we decided to downsize and sell. Three different friends recommended the Lou and Lori Team and they did not disappoint us at any time of the process. They were professional, customer service oriented, very much "on it" and responsive during the whole process, engendered trust and confidence and also had great senses of humor, a must during this maiden voyage for us in selling a home. We highly recommend them.”
